Working out of a one bedroom apartment in New York City, Loot Money (aka Jim Armstrong) slaves away nightly creating his own version of electro-punk fusion. Manning a drum machine, various guitars, and the magic of DirectX effects, Loot aims to capture the essence of life's insanity in MP3 format.
Recently enlightened by a trip to Morgantown, WV, Loot is currently working on his first full-length CD. Watch for it in early 2004!
Loot's surprisingly hip dad had a great music collection, ranging from ZZ-Top to Eric Clapton to Foreigner to the Who. Loot was exposed to many kinds of music growing up, even Indian sitar and tribal chant shit. Yet, Loot was a hip-hoppin DJ in early high school, and eschewed rock music. This caused friction with said dad. Loot eventually stole dad's cassette of Nirvana's *Nevermind* and his life was changed forever. 15 years old and mad at the world, Loot related to Nirvana's primal screams and heavy riffs. After seeing Nirvana in concert, Loot decided to learn to play guitar and the rest is history. Keep an eye on this up and coming experimentalist.
